The mass flow rate (\(\dot{m}\)) for a GE J31 or any gas turbine engine in aircraft design can be calculated using the same fundamental formula as mentioned earlier:
- m is the mass flow rate (in kilograms per second, kg/s).
- rho is the air density (in kilograms per cubic meter, kg/m³).
- A is the cross-sectional area through which air is flowing (in square meters, m²).
- V is the velocity of the ai (in meters per second, m/s).
