Wing loading (W/S) is the weight carried by an aircraft’s wing per unit area of the wing. It is a measure of how much weight the wing needs to support relative to the total wing area.
- W: Aircraft Weight is the total weight of the aircraft, including its payload, fuel, and structure, and
- S: Wing Area is the total area of the wing.
