Isentropic Compressibility Calculator

The isentropic compressibility (τs) of a fluid is a measure of its relative volume change with respect to pressure changes under isentropic (adiabatic and reversible) conditions. It quantifies how much the density of the fluid changes when the pressure is altered without heat exchange (adiabatic process) while keeping the entropy constant.

  • τs: Isentropic compressibility
  • γ: represents the specific heat ratio
  • P: Pressure of the fluid
