The density of the fluid passing through a turbine blade in aircraft design can be calculated using the ideal gas law. The formula to calculate the density (ρ) is the same as the formula for density through a turbine, and it’s as follows:
- ρ = Density of the fluid (in kilograms per cubic meter, kg/m³)
- P = Pressure of the fluid (in pascals, Pa)
- R = Specific gas constant for the fluid (in J/(kg·K))
- T = Temperature of the fluid (in kelvin, K)
