Lift Force: Lift is a force generated by the wings (or other lifting surfaces) of an aircraft as it moves through the air. It is created due to the pressure difference between the upper and lower surfaces of the wings. The Bernoulli principle and Newton’s third law of motion explain the generation of lift:
Z=mg
- Z: Lift force acting on the aircraft (in Newtons or pounds-force).
- m: Mass of the aircraft (in kilograms or slugs, depending on the unit system used).
- z: Vertical acceleration (usually in meters per second squared or feet per second squared).
