In flight mechanics, the planform area of the exposed wing refers to the total projected area of the wing when viewed from above. It represents the area of the wing that is exposed to the airflow and contributes to generating lift and inducing drag during flight.

Planform area of the exposed wing (Se) =Semi span of the exposed wing (be/2) *Tip chord (Ct) +Chord of exposed equivalent wing (Cre)
